After a relaxing Labor Day weekend, I’m feeling ready for the new month and season ahead. Bob and I stayed home, relaxed, and tackled a few house projects. After celebrating our ten year wedding anniversary last week, we were thrilled to be able to enjoy the long weekend.
Some Home Projects
A few weeks ago, we had our back patio refinished and painted. It had been in rough shape since we moved in, and we knew we’d need to have the work done this year. On Saturday morning, we took the time to re-install our faux boxwood panels, which make for the perfect private oasis in the city. We spent the rest of Saturday lounging on our outdoor sectional, reading, and soaking up the sun. I wore this WHIT Carly dress from in today’s post for most of the day, as it was the perfect option for the 80+ degree temps! Shop more pieces from the brand here.
New Streaming Shows
It rained on and off all day Sunday, so we stayed in and finished Away on Netflix – so good! Definitely an option to add to my favorite streaming shows. We also started Cobra Kai – Bob has been excited to check it out after growing up watching the Karate Kid movies (don’t judge, but I’ve never seen it!).
A Labor Day Well Spent
For Labor Day itself, we went out to do a few socially-distant blog shoots, and then worked on our computers for most of the afternoon. Since the weather was so nice, we ended our day outside on the patio again! We keep reminding ourselves to enjoy it as much as possible, because it will be sorely missed come November and into winter! What were you up to for the holiday weekend?
This is so cute on you! I love the pattern, but could not pull off that shape
