What is it about sun, wine, and good company that are so good for the soul? As you may have seen, we spent the week in Napa Valley with Serena & Lily. I’ll be doing a full recap soon, but let me just say – I really needed this trip.

If I take a step back, it’s easy for me to see why. Simply put – Bob and I haven’t taken a true vacation this entire year. Seriously. Sure, we’ve jetted off to different destinations, enjoyed weekend trips here and there, but all of them (and I mean ALL of them), have been for our work or the blog.
Normally, we take spring break and head somewhere warm to relax and rejuvenate. This year, we cancelled a trip we’d planned for months to spend time with his mom. I’m so glad we did.
Winter break? Forget about it! In December, we a had a two-week long trip planned for Australia which also got cancelled.
Over and over again, life has thrown us curve balls where we haven’t been able to unwind, relax, and frankly breathe. Since November, this event is seriously the only time I can remember laughing and having fun without it feeling like work.
This week has been special. Soul-fulfilling in so many ways. I look forward to sharing more in the coming days. But in general, Bob and I send a huge heartfelt thanks to the teams at Serena & Lily, Visit Napa Valley, Hotel Villagio, and all of the valued partners (wineries, restaurants, etc.) who made this experience priceless. I won’t soon forget it.
