Purple Pleated Satin Midi Skirt | Pestana Palace Lisbon

Hotels and resorts are my absolute favorite thing to plan for vacation (after fashion items, like this purple pleated satin midi skirt). I spend weeks, often times months, researching properties. Frequently, a destination is bookmarked for years before being booked, but I always have a well-curated list of where we’ll most likely visit next.

As you may know, we try plan one “big trip” during the summer. Since we both work full-time, we typically opt for short weekend trips when the temps get warmer. In the past, we’ve headed to the Caribbean since it’s low season and the prices are fantastic. This year, we wanted to switch things up and cross off a destination that’s been high on our list for many years – Portugal.

When I came across Pestana Palace Lisbon, I knew we needed to stay here! The historic property feels like you’re walking into a old world European mansion à la Downton Abbey. Pinkies up! The design is so sleek and timeless; I never wanted to leave (unlike you Matthew Crawley – you left too soon, my Downton friend). Lol!
