In the era of Zoom and working remotely, I’m all about embracing pajama outfit ideas. You know, those perfect pieces that pass as presentable for meetings, calls and beyond. Now that we’ve officially hit a year of the pandemic, I’ve become a pajama trend expert of sorts.
Today, I’m excited to dive into some of my favorite pajama outfit ideas to keep you looking stylish and feeling comfortable. Plus, once vaccines roll-out more widely, these outfits are items you can still wear to the office, too.
Pajama Outfit Ideas
I’m a big believer that pajamas shouldn’t be reserved for just nighttime. Forget athleisure, I want sleepleisure. Just saying! Overall, there’s nothing that makes me happier than being cozy and comfortable all day long.
Thankfully, brands and designers have been releasing incredible options for pajama sets, tops, joggers and beyond. For example, these feather-trimmed and palm print jammies? C’mon! So fun. Today, I’m excited to share a brand that’s been releasing phenomenal pajama-like pieces that are excellent for bed to board room.
J Crew Collection Pajamas
Frankly, J Crew has been killing the game when it comes to classic, timeless printed pajama separates. Well, they’re rocking this season in general. This spring, they’ve unveiled several styles that are versatile for work to weekend. Today, I’m featuring a personal fave – their Collection Ratti Leafy Floral Top and Pants. SO good! It was love at first sight.
First, the floral pattern is so fresh and perfect for spring. Plus, I truly believe these separates can be worn together or separately at the office.
Tips for How to Style Pajamas
Add a Stiletto Heel
Seems simple, but the quickest way to style an elevated pajama look is by adding a stiletto heel. I chose a classic beige pump by M.Gemi. See how a few celebs have made their coordinated look that much more amazing through adding a stunning shoe. Extra points if the fabric matches à la Zendaya!
Separate The Items
The easiest way to create an office-appropriate look? Split up the pieces and create different outfits. For these floral pattern pieces, I will pair the pants with a chambray or white button-down top or striped t-shirt. For the top, I’ll pair it with white and blue denim, solid skirts and even over dresses (simply tying the bottom of the top for a tailored look). Take a note from Emma Stone!
Add a Coat or Blazer
Seriously, a crisp jacket or blazer changes the game. For business meetings, I’ll add a belt over the blazer and heels for an even more professional look. Thankfully, I work in a creative industry where bold outfits are accepted. In fact, I believe they represent your approach and how you think. Go big or go home. Leave it to Chrissy Teigen to show us how it’s done.
Layer, Layer, Layer
Beyond blazers, don’t be afraid to layer pajama tops with belts or oversized cardigans. Also, it’s not just about layering over pajamas but also under. Don’t be afraid to experiment with turtlenecks or even button-down underneath and keeping the pajama top open or tied. The options are endless! I love how Sofia Coppola keeps it casual with a soft cardigan and how Jenna Lyons layers her look with a white button-down.

Best Pajama Brands
Looking for new stylish sleepwear options? Below, I’m sharing a list of some of my favorite brands (in no particular order). Additionally, I’m including a round-up of priceless pieces that you’ll love having in your closet.
Sleeper
I mean! How adorable are their feather-trimmed pajamas? All things considered, they are my favorite brand for sleepwear right now. Truthfully, I struggle to pick between the colors! Thankfully, Sleeper pajamas go on sale every so often. It’s worth waiting until you can get a discount code!
Nighttire
Grace Atwood introduced me to this brand! Are you familiar with them? If not, I highly recommend checking out their website. Basically, they offer 100% organic super soft bamboo pajamas.
Lake Pajamas
Well, the brand name says it enough! I love it’s branded “Lake, haha.
A ton of blogger friends rave about these soft, cozy pajamas. In addition to their website, they have book and mortar locations in Charleston and Atlanta. Overall, I’m excited to try them!
Olivia von Halle
Okay, this brand’s price tag isn’t for the faint of heart. Basically, a sleepwear set from this company will run you upwards of $560.
After studying Fashion and Textile Management at Leeds University, Olivia von Halle went on to be a luxury brand consultant and trend forecaster for the likes of Louis Vuitton, Gucci Group and Lamborghini. Her line is inspired by Coco Chanel and other 1920s fashion icons lounging. in pajamas. Frankly, the pajamas are out of my price range right now, but I really want to test them out!
J. Crew
No surprise here (especially since I’m wearing them today). J Crew delivers phenomenal nighttime options. Looking for a great gift idea? Monogrammed J Crew pajamas are always a phenomenal option!
Soma
Over the past few years, I’ve really started to love and enjoy Soma Intimates. Specifically, I’m a huge fan of their Cool Nights fabric, which wicks away moisture and keeps you cool while you sleep. Additionally, most of their pajama pants are sold in regular, short and tall. So smart!
Stars Above at Target
Yes, Target – especially the Stars Above collection. Granted, I wouldn’t recommend this brand for the pajama trend. The items and fabrics are a bit TOO cozy looking for the office. However, I dare you to find a softer sleepwear set than this version.
