Some shopping experiences are great, others are superb. My visit to the new Last Chance Chicago store at Yorktown Shopping Center? Absolutely amazing!

Okay, so if you’re not familiar with Last Chance – it’s Nordstrom’s final-clearance store for returned and overstocked merchandise from their Nordstrom stores, Nordstrom Rack and Nordstrom.com. All merchandise is sold as-is, and all sales are final. It’s no secret that I’m obsessed with Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack, and Last Chance does not disappoint.

I stopped by the new store on opening day (October 20, 2016) with Katie from One Little Black Blog, and we were both in awe of the designer shoes and apparel finds at incredible deals. Everything was organized in the store by category (i.e. outerwear, dresses, shoes by size, home, accessories, etc.), and it was easy to comb through the racks. The hardest part was trying to conceal my “shrieks” every ten seconds after spotting something that I loved.

I first started perusing without a shopping cart or basket. Big mistake. Huge. I immediately switched over to a basket (which filled up quite quickly). I highly recommend grabbing one at the start – you’ll need it! Once you step foot into the store, you will feel a the shift of energy in the air. After walking up and down the aisles, I’d make eye contact with other shoppers, and it felt like we were communicating without words – “Is this place for real? Is this actually happening?! Are you seeing what I’m seeing?!”

My first find? This Jill Jill Stuart two tone gown that I also own in another colorway {see that post here}. Other fun deals were these colorful New Balance sneakers, a gorgeous neutral Rebecca Minkoff Regan bag (for $67), Steve Madden cage sandals {under $20 – more in this post}, and the cutest pink box clutch for, no joke, $10.

The five items – the two tone maxi dress, purse, clutch, sneakers, and sandals – came out to less than $200. The Jill Jill Stuart maxi dress alone at full retail price is $298, and I bought it for less than $70. Crazy, right?!
