The Best Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Dresses

Today, I’m excited to dive into the best Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Dresses. It’s my favorite category of apparel, and I’ve been incredibly thrilled with what I’ve seen thus far. From fit and flares to midi options, sweater dresses to floral frocks, Nordstrom really brought it this year with dynamic dress options. The 2023 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale does not disappoint, and I’m confident you’ll be excited about several pieces like I am.

Over the coming weeks, I’ll be sharing a small curated selection of top picks that will carry you from season to season in style. The best starting point? Eliza J and Julia Jordan. Overall, these gorgeous brands never let me down.

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Dresses

Friends, I’m authentically thrilled because I’ve received a sneak preview from these brands brands. I’ve worn, tried on, and lived with these pieces prior to them going live for the sale. Some have worked (others have not, lol). But from what I’ve seen, this year will be the best selection of Nordstrom Anniversary Sale dresses to date. Keep in mind, I’ve been covering the NSale for nearly a decade, so I don’t write (or say) those words lightly.

At the same time, our economy is in a weird state. With day-to-day prices and inflation, finding affordable options to fill in your wardrobe is incredibly important. As such, please do not feel pressured to buy anything. In fact, don’t buy a single item if you don’t want to!

Keep in mind, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is all about giving you affordable dress options for work, weekend, etc.

Eliza J Dresses

Where should you start? Well, my first recommendation is anything from Eliza J. If you’re a fan of the brand, this year’s lineup is fantastic. No joke, I love so many of their options. In fact, their styles always tend to be go-to options for the office.

For the three styles I’m sharing today, I would say all of them fit true to size. However, if you are in between sizes, definitely size up. Trust me. If you’ve purchased from the brand in the past, these Nordstrom Anniversary Sale dresses fit comparably to their other offerings.

If you know Eliza J, you know they love creating sleek sophisticated options. This emerald green dress is no exception. To note, it’s a knit as well as slightly bodycon. However, it has plenty of give, and I love the shape created by the front seams and darts. From the mock neck to the short sleeves and knee length, it’s a great workwear option for all.

When I first tried on this navy shift, I immediately felt like Rebecca from Ted Lasso. This would fit perfectly in her closet. It hits below the knee, ties at the waist, and it has a chic split sleeve detail. Plus, it has pockets! Another perfect option for the office.

The third and final style from Eliza J is this deep red puff sleeve tiered mini. The flocked fabric is lined at the bodice and skirt leaving the sleeves slightly sheer – love that detail! For me, I found this one snug in the bust, so if you’re on the fence, size up.

Julia Jordan Dresses

Another fantastic option for Nordstrom Anniversary Sale dresses? Julia Jordan. Plus, they offer a range of styles from more event-ready to ones you could wear all weekend long. Moreover, they create some incredible jumpsuits – more on that later. Years ago, I purchased a stunning black and white shift dress from the brand and have loved their offerings ever since.

I’m pretty sure this is my favorite dress of this NSale try on. From the puff blouson sleeve to the tiered skirt and cinch tie waist, it’s superbly comfortable for all day wear. Best of all, the print pairs perfectly with my favorite Veronica Beard navy blazer. It’s definitely a toss over your head and run out the door kind of dress. Love!

If you’ve kept tabs on the Julia Jordan brand, you know they make amazing jumpsuits. This halter neck style is just beyond chic. Perfect for weddings or special occasions where you want an elevated look. For me, this jumpsuit was just a touch long. I’m 5’4″ and wearing 4″ pumps. However, Nordstrom offers tailoring services so it would be a super easy fix, as needed. Otherwise, grab your favorite platforms and head out the door.

Last up is this classic sweater dress. The fabric is super soft, and the adjustable knotted waist makes it another great style for all day wear. Moreover, the puff blouson sleeve is so sweet.
