What I Wore to New York Fashion Week (Part Two)

After spending Friday morning downtown at the LIKEtoKNOW.it mural and at the Club Monaco show, I cabbed it back uptown to attend the kate spade spring 2018 fashion presentation. The kate spade new york team chose the iconic Grand Central Oyster Bar for the setting, and it was a lively experience! It all started with a marching band, and the models seemed like they were having a blast! All of them were dancing to the music, chatting, and laughing.

Best of all, the kate spade spring 2018 fashion presentation was a celebration of the brand’s 25th anniversary. Deborah Lloyd chose New Orleans as her main source of inspiration (hence the oyster bar and marching band). The classic silhouettes and whimsical designs incorporated a relaxed, southern feel. Also, kate spade new york is reintroducing their iconic ‘Sam’ bag. This classic square nylon tote was the bag that put the brand on the map. The party atmosphere of the presentation made the experience feel welcoming and fun. It was so great to see and chat with friends like Ana, Brooke, Carly, Grace, Leslie, and Mackenzie, among others! Early that Friday morning, Allie and I met up for some photos at the nearby New York Public Library where I wore my new favorite kate spade new york fall 2017 dress. I paired it with their matching enamel poppy necklace, a Chloé Pixie bag, some Julie Vos jewelry, and gold Tory Burch sandals.
