Autumn in New York has a particular way of making life just a little lighter. Recently, I spent a bit of time in New York City and Connecticut for a series of events with friends – new and old.
To start, I attended the New England Coastal Creative Conference and spoke about all things influencer marketing with some fave people in my life—Jen from Sail to Sable and Mackenzie Horan. We dove into what goes on behind the scenes with our Sail to Sable x Style Charade collection. We’re really proud of our capsules, and it was great to share insights on best practices, what works, what doesn’t, etc.
STS The Cabana Holiday 2023 Trunk Show
The next day, we had a fun gathering and trunk show at STS The Cabana to show off the Sail to Sable x Style Charade Holiday 2023 pieces. We talked, we laughed, we connected. It’s those moments that make all the hard work worth it. I sincerely enjoyed connecting with everyone!
If you haven’t already, be sure to check out our full capsule collection HERE. We truly have the perfect dresses for all holiday occasions – office holiday parties, Christmas gatherings, New Year’s Eve, and beyond.
New York City Diary – Our Weekend
Couldn’t resist lingering in New York a bit longer and I extended my stay to savor New York a little more. First, we stayed at the Yale Club followed by my personal favorite – The Whitby Hotel. Each offered a different flavor of the city—the Yale Club was like stepping back into a rich history, while The Whitby was a modern-day fairy tale with artful decor that whispered stories of faraway places.
Dressed in Cara Cara New York
As we wandered the city, I donned the perfect autumn attire—a chic ensemble from Cara Cara New York. The look was layered with their Piper Turtleneck – neatly tucked beneath the Zoe Vest. This layered piece brought a playfulness to fall, while the Ross Blazer added an added element of sophistication.
Also, I’ve been wearing my AG Jeans’ Step Hem Denim on repeat. They’re SO comfortable, and I love the step-hem for an added statement to the style. The outfit was the perfect blend of comfort and chic that carried me from the conference to casual strolls around the city.
Dinner at The Mark
But my most treasured evening of my stay—dinner at The Mark with friends Jen Stocker, Charlotte from STS Cabana, Mackenzie Horan, and Allie Provost. This lively meal on the Upper East Side was the best, and it’s rare to find a moment where time seems to pause. Also, it was my first time eating at The Mark, and the food was really lovely (the service was “eh” tbh). But above all, I kept looking around the table and realizing how fortunate I am to have these women in my life.
Dinner at Monkey Bar
For our final evening, Bob and I got dinner at Monkey Bar and it was SPECTACULAR. We didn’t have a reservation, so we got extremely lucky that there was a last-minute cancellation so we could get a table. Every single dish was impeccable, and we loved the atmosphere.
Plus, we were sat next to two major celebrity comedians, who we later learned were planning to stop by Saturday Night Live to support their friend who was the host. It was a fun celeb sighting (and we clearly left them alone, of course).
The only sad part of the experience was that we got VERY full, so Bob didn’t get a chance to eat their famous key lime pie. Next time (and we will definitely be returning!).
Until the next adventure, I’m sending you all the love and a little piece of that New York magic. Where is your new adventure? Drop a comment and let me know what travels you have coming up.
