As you might have noticed, I love classic wardrobe staples with a twist. Case in point, this Tory Burch sequin cardigan. I adore how the embellished trim is so luxe. I’m pretty sure they couldn’t squeeze in any more sequins if they tried! Moreover, this polished and versatile layer is perfect to wear over everything from t-shirts to midi dresses. This same “Kendra” style is also made in a metallic woven chenille. Love that!
Recently, we captured these images at the Goose Island Brewery taproom. Given the fun stripe painted brick, it’s been a longtime favorite spot for blog photos. Speaking of Goose Island, did you hear they closed the original Clybourn Brewpub location? Bob and I were so sad to read the news. It was a weekend brunch and dinner spot we loved to frequent. Apparently, that entire complex at Sheffield and Clybourn is being torn down for a new residential development as part of the greater Lincoln Yards project. Thankfully, they will be reopening as part of the newly opened Salt Shed nearby.
Much like this jacket is a wardrobe hero in my closet, Goose Island was a restaurant hero for our lives in Chicago. I can’t wait to see what the new space will look like!
