Tibi Escalante Skirt
I pretty sure it was love at first sight when I first saw this Tibi Escalante skirt. From the graphic black and white stripes to the midi length and of course the quality, it’s simply perfect! When I noticed they created a matching top, I was sold!
The Tibi brand has really made a name for themselves with their classic, ladylike pieces (often with a stylized twist). The founder and designer, Amy Smilovic, founded New York-based label whilst abroad in Asia. It was there Smilovic found inspiration by the local culture and textiles. Her line has been a mainstay of stores such as Nordstrom, Shopbop, NET-A-PORTER, and many more! Plus, the classic midi skirt style has been a mainstay of their collection for some time – often imitated, never duplicated. Find it here in black, ivory, or red!
These Nicholas Kirkwood silver platform slingbacks are another longtime favorite of mine. I’ve had them for years, and they’ve stayed in such great shape! Often, metallic leather is much more prone to scratches, but these have stood the test of time. Shop more Nicholas Kirkwood styles from one of my favorite independent boutiques here.
One of my very first big designer bag purchases was this Chanel Classic Caviar Medium Flap bag. I bought it at the Madison Ave boutique in New York, and it was definitely a dream come true. Years (and many price hikes) later, I now realize I should have bought it in a second color. The investment at the time would have really paid off longterm!
