How to Find the Taylor Swift Floral Dress for Less

Of all the Grammy Award 2021 looks, the Taylor Swift floral dress {seen here} became instantly iconic. After all, the gorgeous piece was designed by Oscar de la Renta (who happened to design my wedding gown). I’m a huge fan of the brand! From the 3D floral appliqués to the bold hues, and even the sleek silhouette, Taylor’s dress was beyond stylish.

At the same time, the price point is not for the faint of heart. In fact, luxury shoppers can still get their hands on a similar version of the Taylor Swift floral dress for the palatable $8,999 (it was available on Saks earlier this year). Attainable price, you know? 🙂 Thankfully, like all major fashion trends, brands develop dupes and similar pieces to reach a mass consumer audience.

Funny enough, last year, I had actually found the fabric on Etsy and considered working with a tailor to recreate the style. Thankfully, I came across a similar version (and phenomenal deal) on The Real Real for this La Vie Style House caftan (similar available via Saks Fifth Avenue). However, my thirst wasn’t quenched for this statement style.

Ultimately, I was scrolling through Instagram and came across a suggested post from a brand called Helsi. My heart stopped. The style was SO sleek, and their caption stated they had just restocked the piece in all sizes. After chatting with the brand, I was beyond thankful to get my hands on one of the styles.

Since then, I’ve seen more and more styles unveiled from some of my favorite brands, like MILLY and Mac Duggal. This Helsi dress is such a refreshing take, as it’s not an exact replica by any means. First off, the background color is emerald green, not black. At the same time, the look and feel is similar. Best of all, the price is PHENOMENAL compared to ODLR.

Helsi Floral Dress

Okay, so the Helsi Floral Dress fits true to size. However, if you are between sizes, I’d recommend sizing down. Also, the bust of the dress is a bit bigger than anticipated. I had to pad the dress wearing this bra to fill out my dress. Frankly, I don’t mind the larger bust area. If anything, the dimensions create a cool silhouette that shrinks your waist and creates a curve at the hip.

Mac Duggal Floral Dresses

Next up, I also love these two styles from Mac Duggal. The long sleeve floral dress is my favorite. In fact, my hope is to actually try and review this style too! Can you tell how much I love this fabric? 🙂

After all, it’s the perfect fall and wedding guest dress. Moreover, it’s also a more reasonable price point compared to the designer option. They also offer a second sleeveless midi version, which you also may like.

MILLY Floral Dresses

Last but certainly not least, MILLY is offering two versions of the dress. Of the three brands, these styles are my least favorite. Don’t get me wrong, they are GORGEOUS. I just think the styles would overtake my petite frame. I’m only 5’4, so I always keep proportions in mind.

However, if you’re slightly taller, these pieces are perfect for you. They also fall in the same price points as the Helsi and Mac Duggal options. Furthermore, they’re the only brand that currently offers a maxi dress and gown option in the fabric.
