Blackout Day 2020 // 16 Black-Owned Businesses to Shop

If you haven’t already heard, today is “Blackout Day 2020.” This effort was created as a day of solidarity in America when Black people as well as other minorities and their allies will exercise their economic spending power abstaining from spending any money. Please note, while this day is just one day. We should always, ALWAYS be supporting Black and minority businesses.

07.03.2020 // Friday Charades

How are you friends? What another wild week, right? We’ve been actively working on updating our home and making the interior design feel as seamless as possible. Growing up, I loved living in a home full of color, prints and patterns. I truly believe you’ll love what you see in the weeks ahead!

06.26.2020 // Friday Charades

I had the pleasure of meeting one of the co-founders of Cara Cara, Julia, in several design collaborations while visiting NYC. She’s incredibly talented, and she also understands the business behind fashion. Fast forward, and Cara Cara is doing incredible things. I’m not surprised!

The Sail to Sable x Style Charade Anne Dress

A Midi Dress Like No Other!

The launch of the Sail to Sable x Style Charade collection is only days away, and I’m thrilled to share the next preview! When we were designing the capsule collection, I knew we needed a midi dress. To me a midi is an ideal length when you’re looking to just lounge at home, and it’s probably the style of dress I wear the most. Therefore we took Sail to Sable’s exclusive hand-painted leaf print and designed the Anne dress.

Sail to Sable x Style Charade Charlotte Dress

I am beyond excited to share one of six styles from the Sail to Sable x Style Charade capsule collection – the Charlotte dress! How did I come up with the names? Every piece in the collection is named after (or for) a woman who’s inspired me in some way. A few have very unique stories or just a special meaning. This one falls in the latter category.

“Charlotte” happens to be the baby name I’ve had in mind if we ever had a daughter. Have you seen “That One With the Birth” episode of Friends? To summarize, Monica shares her she’s already picked the names of her future children (which is seriously common among so many of friends). Well, “Charlotte” is my “Emma.”

Black Lives Matter Chicago Murals // Street Art with a Message

Since the launch of Style Charade, public art and murals have been at the core of my content. From Chicago to New York, Los Angeles and Miami, I’ve loved curating Wall Guides to help readers locate the colorful scenes and celebrate the artists. In many ways, street art is a significant part of my storytelling and brand. One of the reasons why I’ve always loved murals and public art is because they often share a message, support a cause, and/or make a neighborhood more beautiful.
