Every so often, you find items you know will be staple pieces in your wardrobe for years to come. Case in point, this crisp cotton corset dress and stunning trench vest from Veronica Beard. After they arrived on my doorstep, my mind was spinning on ways to wear them both together and separately. For today’s post, I thought I’d share my take on styling a white dress three ways.
Having a neutral base allows you to easily play around with color! Case in point, the stunning pink and blue ombré tote below. It’s from a new-to-me brand, Naghedi, an NYC-based brand who specializes in handwoven, long-lasting bags. Also, I love that it comes with an organizer pouch – perfect to use as a clutch! Last week, I brought it with me on my work trip to Miami. The tote worked perfectly for my laptop and other office needs, while the pouch was ideal to grab for work dinners.
Staycation Look
The classic white dress and vest was also the ideal outfit for our recent staycation at The Langham. The two pieces were great for daytime around the hotel and the dress alone was just what I needed for dinner out. Plus, I love how it paired well with neutral pumps and statement jewelry from LAGOS. See more from our time there in my recent Reel!
Moreover, I’ve loved styling this white dress for the office. From a more structured look via a wide belt and boots to a breezier vibe with navy accessories, a white dress and trench dress can really go the distance. Also, I’ve recently been on the hunt for a classic navy pump. Pretty sure Meghan Markle is to blame, lol! Thankfully, Sarah Flint has the style in multiple heights: from a 4-inch stiletto to a kitten heel, low block heel, and medium height pump as seen below. For that look, I added my Mark & Graham navy textured tote: another work-ready bag that fits a laptop and so much more.
Budget-Minded
So, I’ll be the first to admit that Veronica Beard does have a higher price point. Does the quality and design warrant it? In my opinion, yes. However, there are several ways to achieve the look without breaking the bank. Below, I’ve shared a range of similar pieces I’ve found. To note, a few are somewhat low in stock, so act fast if you’re thinking about it!
