Last night, I was so thrilled to be a part of the Bad On Paper Podcast live show. As I mentioned yesterday, Grace Atwood and Becca Freeman host the most wonderful podcast that covers books, dating, friends, and also has so many fantastic guests and interviews. Chicago was the first stop on their multi-city tour, and they hosted last night’s show at City Winery in the West Loop. Best of all, more than 250 people turned out for the show – the room was packed!
It was an absolute blast to speak alongside Anna, Jess, and Liz – three women I adore and respect. Plus, Becca and Grace absolutely killed it! Their banter and humor is not only fun to listen to but a joy to see live and in person! The show began with an interview with Anna about books: reading habits, current faves, ones to avoid, and some classic throwbacks. From there, it was a discussion with Jess, Liz and myself about friendships. Each of us spoke about making new friends as adults, the idea of friend break-ups, maintaining long distance friends, and how to navigate friendships once someone is married and/or has children. So many great insights (and laughs)!
I thought about buying something new to wear for the event, but ultimately decided to shop my own closet. I chose my favorite Stine Goya Jasmine dress. It’s light, breezy, and ridiculously comfortable. I also own the pink version, which I wore to the Create and Cultivate Chicago conference last summer. Although it’s unlined, it does come with a slip, so you don’t need to worry too much if a sudden breeze strikes! Moreover, the dress is available in so many different prints and colorways. It’s become one of the brands staple styles with new options each season. Sadly, the blue version is almost sold out everywhere – but I did find a few in the links below.
