Hi, friends! It’s been awhile since I’ve done a general life update about what’s happening behind-the-scenes. As many of you know, our weekends this past year have been filled mostly with searching for a lake home. It’s been an fun process seeing what’s out there!

Tinder Swindler

Have you seen this new Netflix documentary – the Tinder Swindler? Wowza. It’s a swipe right for me, but after watching it, I did feel incredibly sad about the state of our world – especially the lengths some people will go to hurt others. What did you think of it?

Also, I’m SUPER excited to watch Inventing Anna coming to Netflix tomorrow, Friday, February 11th. Be sure to read this article for more context on what inspired the film.

TikTok

On a happier note about social media, I’m officially on TikTok! Consider me the (very) fashionably late guest to the party, haha! Well, I’ve been on it for a while, but I’m now making a better attempt at posting! I’ve been debating creating TikTok content for some time. Why now? Well, I’m frankly having fun with it, and I enjoy stretching a new creative muscle.

As with all social media, Bob and I have a hard and fast rule – only do something if we’re enjoying it. So far, we’re liking it! Feel free to follow me at @Jennifer.Lake – excited to connect with you there!

Similar to most TikTok accounts, the content will be vastly different than Instagram or the blog. I’m expecting a healthy mix of entertaining and informative posts about fashion, interior design, travel, and maybe some PR and influencer marketing advice. Perhaps even a dance or two! 😉

Chicago Event

Speaking of saving the date… I would love for you to save the date for a special event at J.Crew’s Michigan Avenue store in Chicago! The brand has invited me back to host a weekend event to celebrate their new arrivals (and they are SO good).

The event will occur on Saturday, February 19th from 12:00 – 3:00 PM at the J. Crew Michigan Ave on the second floor of the 900 Shops. Looking forward to shopping with you!

Upcoming Trip

After a few months of safely social distancing and going nowhere, we’re taking a small trip out East. I’m very excited to head back to a fave destination. We’re meeting up with some friends and checking out some new incredible spaces. Looking forward to sharing more soon! Stay tuned!
