Solace London Alette Dress | Costa Nova, Portugal

Have you ever visited a new part of the world and immediately felt at ease? You know, those places that are so charming you would move there and never look back? Well, Costa Nova Beach was that destination for me. Picture a waterfront town, bursting with color and almost all of the buildings emblazoned with stripes. It’s nearly impossible not to smile when you arrive, and there was no question that this Solace London Alette Dress was right at home.

Situated on a narrow peninsula between the Atlantic Ocean and the Aveiro Lagoon, Costa Nova is the perfect European getaway. It felt like a town out of a Nicholas Sparks movie (Ryan Gosling not included). Off all of the places we visited in Portugal, this was my favorite; the ultimate “gem” of the trip, if you will.

I’m obsessed with this Solace London Alette Dress. I’ve been a fan of this British brand for some time (as seen here and here). Their sculptural pieces and bold color combinations always make a stylish statement. Also, can we talk about the hues? Bring on the lilac and bold orange pairing any day of the week. Plus, I adored the juxtaposition of casual meets glam and stripes meets color block.

After capturing some images, we found a spot on the boardwalk for lunch and rosé. It was the perfect way to spend the afternoon while people watching, chatting about our trip, and enjoying one other’s company. I wish I could have bottled that moment. For now, I’ll look fondly at these images as a reminder of a place and time where everything was right with the world.
