Today, I’m rounding up what I’m planning to buy at the sale, along with tips to get what you want before it sells out. Sadly, restocks don’t typically happen during the Sephora VIP Sale. Therefore, it’s best to shop as early as possible.

Sephora VIB Sale
The VIB Sale happens three times a year, and gives Sephora Beauty Insider members the chance to get up to 20% off everything on their website. You likely see a lot of media coverage around the sale, since it’s pretty rare for Sephora to provide a big discount. Don’t get me wrong, Sephora sporadically sends us surprise discount codes via their newsletters.
However, the Sephora VIB Sale is the best (and most reliable) time of the year to count on getting great deals. But what should you buy, and when can you take advance of the Holiday Savings Event?
When is the Sephora VIB Sale?
The Sephora VIB Sale officially stars on Friday, April 14th and runs through Monday, April 24th on Sephora.com. Use the code: SAVENOW to get up to 20% off
Sephora Rouge members get 20% off from April 14-24, 2023. Sephora Rouge members are the most loyal members and spend $1,000 in a calendar year to obtain the status.
Additionally, Sephora VIB members will receive 15% off from April 18-24, 2023.
Lastly, Sephora Insiders will receive 10% off from April 18-24, 2023.
Moreover, all Beauty Insider Members will receive 30% off Sephora Collection, including their makeup tools, makeup, skincare items, and more. Below, I’m linking their bestselling items from the Sephora Collection to shop once the sale begins.
When Can Sephora VIB Members Shop?
To take advantage of the Sephora VIB Sale, you must sign up for their Beauty Insider Program. You can do so by clicking joining on the Sephora website. It’s completely free to join, and a great chance to enjoy several perks throughout the year.

Sephora VIB Sale Calendar
In addition to the Fall VIB Sale, Sephora hosts three additional sales throughout the year. I find it helpful to pulse out my purchases to take advantage of the Sephora discount.
First up, the Spring VIB Sale, which is also referred to as the Spring Bonus Sale, takes place every spring. Some shoppers call it the April VIB Sale, as the sale tends to happen in April each year. What’s great about the Spring VIB Sale is you can get discounts on newly released products.
After the Spring Bonus Sales comes the Summer VIB Sale. It’s also referred as the Summer Bonus Event, which is helpful for summer skincare, haircare items, and makeup. The August VIB Sale takes place in early August, and I’ll be sure to post about it once it goes live.
Last but certainly not least, the Fall VIB Sale (which I’m covering today), is the last chance of the year to get discounts. Sometimes it’s referred to as the Holiday Savings Event. Typically, the Fall VIB Sale takes place in October so it’s also called the October VIB Sale.

Are there Exclusions during the Holiday VIB Savings Event?
Yes, there are exclusions during the Fall VIB Sale. Specifically, there are limitations on some of the hottest items. For example, you can only purchase one Dyson item per transaction. Additionally, discounts won’t apply to gift cards purchases.

Holiday Savings Event 2022 – Shipping and Returns
Listen, sometimes makeup and skincare products simply don’t work out. Thankfully, Sephora has a fabulous shipping and return policy. For the Sephora VIB Sale 2023, Sephora welcomes returns of new or gently used products for a full refund of the original payment within 30 days. After that, you are eligible for Sephora credit if returns are made between 31-60 days.
What Am I Buying or Restocking?
This year, I’m focused mostly on restocking my holy grail makeup items. With the renovations on the lake home, I’m looking to save money and also get duplicates so I can keep one set there so I’m not constantly bringing things back and forth.
Below, I’m featuring my all-time faves. You’ll notice that I don’t have any bronzer, eyeshadow palette,
NARS Foundation
The first item that I’ll be adding to cart? My go-to foundation – the NARS Light Reflecting Advanced Skincare Foundation. Normally, the NARS Foundation is $49. During the Sephora VIB Sale? Rouge members will only pay $39.20. Frankly, I’m thrilled about this discount, and I’ll be buying two bottles.
If you’ve been on the hunt for a medium to full-coverage foundation that makes your skin look flawless yet natural, this one is it. Trust! I’ve tried nearly a hundred foundations, and this is my absolute favorite.
NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer
Clearly I like NARS, lol. To be transparent, I think NARS does the best face makeup of any brand. It’s why I use literally all of their products for my base except primer, including foundation, concealer, and even eyeshadow primer. The Radiant Creamy Concealer is a staple in most beauty mavens’ beauty kits.
Here’s what I love – it doesn’t crease underneath my eyes, and it brightens the entire area without being caky or noticeable. The formula is just perfect.
Even celebrity makeup artists consistently say this is one of their go-to products. Typically $31, the concealer will be only $24 for Sephora Rouge members.
This season, I also chose to purchase the Soft Matte Creamy Concealer too. This will be the first time I’m testing it out, and I’ve heard incredible things about it. From what I’ve researched, it provides a bit more coverage than the Radiant Concealer (along with a matte finish). A little goes a long way, and it’ll be perfect for special occasions.
NARS Pro-Prime™ Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base
Rounding out my NARS obsession is the Pro-Prime™ Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base. Do not sleep on this product! Overall, the product is a game changer for applying eyeshadow. It smooths the eyelid and extends the wear of your shimmer, matte, and glitter formulas. Big fan!
HUDA BEAUTY Easy Bake Loose Baking & Setting Powder
Another personal fave? The HUDA BEAUTY Easy Bake Loose Baking & Setting Powder. The finely milled formula is phenomenal for setting makeup, baking, etc. Specifically, I love using it to set concealer under my eyes. It doesn’t crease or look too cakey.
Right now, the only color I’ve tried is Sugar Cookie, which brights and works extremely well on me. I will definitely be restocking another one, along with a mini one to have with me for travels. The other version I’ve heard a lot about is Cupcake, which is a slightly more pinky tone. It’s supposed to be slightly more subtle, so I want to try that one too.
Benefit Cosmetics Precisely, My Brow Pencil Waterproof Eyebrow Definer
Where do I start with this product? A friend once warned me, “the moment you start filling in your brows, you’ll never go back.” She was right. The Benefit Cosmetics Precisely My Brow Pencil Waterproof Eyebrow Definer is the best. I’ll be stocking up on three of these (no joke).
Tatcha The Silk Canvas Protective Primer
I’ve talked about the Tatcha The Silk Canvas Protective Primer for years. It continues to be one of my all-time holy grails. It reduces pores and truly one of the most helpful steps of my makeup prep.
shu uemura Essence Absolue Nourishing Protective Hair Oil
This is the only hair product I’m including in my recommendations – the shu uemura Essence Absolue Nourishing Protective Hair Oil. It enriches my hair and makes is so shiny and healthy. Truly a personal fave!
Pat McGrath Blush
Another go-to is this Pat McGrath blush in Fleurish. The celebrity makeup artist and entrepreneur knows her stuff when it comes to formulas. I adore this blush is a blend of a great pink color with a hint of bronzer.
