Social media really is an amazing aspect of our modern day culture. From connecting with old friends, seeing updates from extended family, and keeping up-to-date with news coverage, pretty much everything is at our fingertips. Over the years, I’ve loved turning to social media to receive travel recommendations from friends. Best of all, they’ve never lead me astray!
Prior to our recent trip to Napa Valley, I turned to Facebook and Instagram to ask if anyone had winery recommendations, and the responses were plentiful to say the least! The hands-down, number-one, most recommended spot was Schramsberg Vineyards Napa Valley. Given the countless options in California wine country, I knew that a place as beloved as this was worth adding to our itinerary.

It didn’t take long to realize why everyone adores Shramsberg Vineyards Napa Valley. First, they specialize in sparkling wines, and who doesn’t love a little bubbly?! Additionally, the vineyard has a rich history that dates back to the 1800’s. In more modern times, their sparkling wines have been served at the White House more 43 times since the Nixon administration. Lastly, much of the vineyard tour takes place underground, amidst their miles of historic caves and three million bottles of wine. This was the perfect respite on a hot summer day in California!
During our tasting, I learned that Schramsberg’s iconic Blanc de Blancs wine is the single most poured sparking wine in all of Napa Valley. After the first taste, it was easy to understand why – so delicious! We were also able to try the Brut Rosé as well as the J. Schram Rosé. If it were up to me, we would have spent the entire day at Schramsberg – it was a fantastic experience!
The next time you find yourself in Northern California, be sure to head to Schramsberg Vineyards Napa Valley, and don’t forget to see their newest property, Davies Vineyards, in nearby St. Helena.
