Hard to believe that a new season is just around the corner! Lately, I have been on the lookout for pieces that are still comfortable for late summer yet will work well for the fall transition. This ruffle tiered floral dress is the perfect option. It was lightweight enough for our recent trip to Bermuda, and I can easily add a jacket or light layer (like this and this) and suede boots for when the temps start to drop. Lastly, I found it fit true to size, and the adjustable straps are a welcome design element.
Today is my first day in Dubai prior to my business meetings on Monday. Our original flight from the Maldives was overbooked, so I took a bump to a later departure. Although I was at the airport for an extra eight hours, they ended up placing me on a direct flight. We were originally scheduled to connect through Sri Lanka, so the change worked out for the best! Moreover, we received free passes to the business lounge. Since the flight from the Maldives departed at 11:00 PM, it wasn’t until after 3:00 AM that I arrived to my hotel in Dubai. Thankfully, it gave me a head start to getting my body prepped to be back on Chicago-time!
