Alright, I admit it – I’m a bit dress obsessed. While my closet is organized by category – tops, pants, blazers and skirts, dresses easily take up about 85% of the real estate. Ever since I was little, I’ve loved being a girly girl – always opting for tulle and tutus over denim and dungarees. Even my childhood bedroom was painted bright, bold pink!
Dresses feel like an authentic extension of my personal style, and I love investing in options for all occasions – work, weekends, events, etc. The challenge for me is to find new ways to elevate dresses from good to great, and I’ve learned over the years that small details always make a big difference.
Therefore, when I found this dress at Nordstrom, I knew I had to have it! From the feminine lace and pleats, classic color combination, and the ability to customize the look, it was a no-brainer! I knew that a simple navy grosgrain belt would be the perfect addition to give extra shape. I paired it with my favorite crystal embellished pumps (SO comfy) and quilted neutral bag to keep the look as seamless as possible. What are the details you look for in the perfect dress?
