This Oscar de la Renta yellow gown was originally featured as a part of the Ebony Fashion Fair, the iconic annual fashion event that took place from 1958-2009. I was fortunate enough to add it to my collection after Ebony Magazine hosted an auction of their archives a few years ago via Chicago’s Hindman Auctions. I’m beyond thrilled to own a piece of fashion history (and thankful to have had the winning bid)!
This weekend, I’m in New York for work and for the blog. Given that the winter temps and snow have descended upon Chicago, it’s so great to get out of town for a couple days. Thankfully, it’s supposed to be in the low-50’s today in NYC – I’ll take it! Hope you have a great weekend ahead!
