It’s hard to believe that Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2018 is less than a month away! The biggest and best sale of the year is just around the corner, and I’m so excited to shop all of the amazing items! Scroll down to learn more about the sale, see what I loved from last year’s sale, and what’s on my shopping list for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2018! The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is definitely my favorite shopping event by far (sorry checking account)! You might be hearing or reading about the Anniversary Sale already. What’s the big deal, you ask? Well, I am going to answer many of the most commonly asked questions below!
What is the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale?
A massive array of Nordstrom’s new fall inventory is immediately marked down for a limited time. As opposed to waiting to the end of the season to reduce the sticker price, Nordstrom puts it all on sale from the very beginning, but just for a brief time. Each year the selection is insane – seriously. It includes pretty much every category as well: apparel, handbags, accessories, shoes, home, gifts, and more!
When is Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2018 Early Access?
Early access to the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2018 begins on Thursday, July 12, and it’s just for Nordstrom cardholders. The Early Access portion of the sale ends on July 19. Interested in getting a card for yourself? Click HERE – they have three types: a Nordstrom store credit card, a Nordstrom Visa Signature card, and a Nordstrom Visa Platinum Card. All of them offer points on your purchases which not only yield Nordstrom Rewards, but they get you Early Access to the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale!

When is the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Open to the Public?
If you aren’t a Nordstrom cardholder, then you will need to wait until the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale opens to the public on Thursday, July 20. The very last day of the sale will be on Sunday, August 5. Pricing for all of Nordstrom’s new fall inventory goes back up on August 6. Each year, several of the best selling items will be completely out of stock before public access begins, so I encourage you to consider becoming a Nordstrom cardholder.
What Time Does the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Start Online?
Since Nordstrom is a Seattle-based company, it’s no surprise that the start of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2018 aligns with their home time zone. This means that The Early Access Sale will begin at 12:01 AM PDT on July 12 (i.e. 2:01 AM Central / 3:01 AM Eastern). Public Access to the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2018 will be at 12:01 AM PDT on July 20. In fact, the most eager of shoppers will stay up to the wee hours of the night in order to get first dibs on their favorites. Lastly, I recommend taking advantage of their Pick Up In Store option, if you leave near a brick and mortar Nordstrom. This will allow you to skip the crowds and ensure you are able to purchase based on the store inventory.
Will Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Restock?
Nordstrom is renowned for their incredible return policy. Therefore, expect for most items to be restocked regularly during the sale. Many shoppers will be a bit overzealous during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2018 Early Access timeframe and have a change of heart later. Moreover, Nordstrom has incredible analytics, so they tend to keep deeper inventory on items they know will do well during NSale. Lastly, because their online availability also reflects their in-store items, Nordstrom doesn’t hesitate to fulfill an e-commerce order via one of their flagship stores.
What are the Nordstrom Rewards Levels?
One of the best parts of shopping at Nordstrom is taking advantage of their Nordstrom Rewards program. It’s absolutely free to join; all you need to do is sign-in to your Nordstrom.com account and input your name, email, and phone number into the Nordstrom Rewards page. You will earn one point per dollar spent at Nordstrom, Nordstrom Rack, HauteLook, and Trunk Club. For every 2,000 points accumulated, you will earn a $20 Nordstrom Note to spend on anything at Nordstrom. If you want Early Access to the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2018, and even greater benefits, you will need to sign-up for a Nordstrom Card. Even better, cardholders receive two points per dollar spent!
Beyond being granted Early Access to the NSale, being a Nordstrom cardholder allows you personal triple points days, bonus points events, alterations benefits, and more. There are four cardmember levels, and they are all based on your calendar year spend at Nordstrom. The highest tier is Level 4, and those members are granted pre-shop access to the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. This means that if you are a Level 4 Nordstrom cardmember, you can shop the NSale as early as Wednesday, July 11. How do you become a Level 4 member? Well, all you need to do is spend $10,000 or more in a calendar year at Nordstrom, easy right? LOL!
Is There a Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2018 Catalog?
In a word, YES! Typically, just before the start of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, the company releases an online look book and sends out catalogs via postal mail. This preview allows shoppers to earmark some of the best styles for the sale. Be sure to check back to this post frequently, as I will update it when the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2018 catalog becomes available. Otherwise, keep tabs on their website here.

Do You Have Any Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Picks?
You bet I do! Certain items like purses, jewelry, dresses, watches, skirts, and outerwear tend to be the most popular. Also, because Nordstrom carries so many amazing brands, certain labels tend to sell super quickly (think Rag and Bone, Tory Burch, Vince, and the like.) You know the brands you love the most, so perhaps start there!
Another recommendation is to look through your fall and winter wardrobe in order to remind yourself of your favorite pieces. For me, activewear is always a necessity. Also, my all time favorite leggings are from Nordstrom, so those will be on my radar for sure! Also, I bought the most amazing cashmere cardigans during NSale last year. I wear them on every flight and could definitely use some new colors.
Lastly, think of the classic pieces you need for your fall wardrobe that you haven’t gotten around to buying yet. Perhaps a pair of chic booties, a new suede jacket, or designer denim? Making a list in advance will help you in the long run!

What about Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Handbags?
Brace yourself, because there are always some amazing handbags to be found during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. Typically, designers like Tory Burch, Kate Spade, and Rebecca Minkoff are big sellers. In fact, this suede RM backpack was one of the best sellers during last year’s sale. Additionally, some of the most affordable Nordstrom lines such as Leith and Sole Society create some really chic styles during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale.

During our London trip in 2016, I brought along my favorite CeCe scallop trim dress, so when they reproduced it as a scallop trim top for the 2017 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, I bought it immediately! As I had mentioned earlier, I found the most amazing cashmere cardigan at last year’s sale. It was less than $75 and available in six colors. I still kick myself for not buying one or two more! This suede moto jacket by BlankNYC was definitely one of my favorite purchases from the 2016 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, and you can bet that outwear will be another big seller for 2018. I’m pretty sure this jacket was one was one of the quickest selling pieces from two years ago, and I totally understand why. Aside from the bag and sunnies, everything from this post was from the 2017 NSale. Moreover, they have been some of my most worn pieces ever since. This grey layered top is SO comfy! Additionally, these Vince Camuto booties were one of the top selling shoes last year. {original blog post here}
Year after year, denim is one of the biggest sellers for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. For the past couple of years, cropped and the step hem styles have been runaway hits. These trends have definitely continued through today. Same goes for distressed details, denim with a bit of stretch, and the perfect crop length jean. {original blog post here}

Each year, Nordstrom includes so many perfect outfit options for the office as well. Working full time in requires that I have outfits that can go from meetings to events without skipping a beat. If you’ve followed Style Charade for any amount of time, you know I LOVE a fit and flare dress. When I spotted this knit version by Topshop at two years ago, I knew I had to have it. I ordered it online and was so happy when it arrived. Quick tip – when in doubt, order two sizes. Nordstrom is known for their amazing return policy.
