Happy Tuesday! Today’s post is from our early-March weekend trip to Austin for SXSW. Beyond the incredible weather and fun murals (like this pink one), one of my favorite parts of visiting this amazing city is the food! Each time I’m there, I make sure to try something new. This last trip included what I now deem as the most Instagrammable Austin café. Technically, Le Politique is a restaurant and brasserie, but, to me, it has the perfect Parisian café vibes. I mean, does it get better than classic blue with pops of pink?!
I discovered the café thanks to Jordan Jones and the Packed Party team, who always find the most colorful spots in Austin! If you’re looking for Instagrammable locations around the city, I highly recommend following both Jordan and Packed Party on Instagram.

MORE ABOUT LE POLITIQUE AUSTIN:
Beyond being the most Instagrammable Austin café, Le Politique is the ultimate French brasserie in the heart of downtown. Inside the gorgeous restaurant, you’ll find beautiful seating and a raw bar with a fabulous spread of oysters (my favorite), lobster claws and other fresh seafood.
The most coveted seat in the house? The outdoor patio which will transport you to the streets of Paris. The pink and blue chairs and small dining tables truly make you think you’re sitting at a small bistro along the Seine (until you look across the street and see a tall residential building). But alas!
The restaurant is the brainchild of the New Waterloo, who manages a variety of restaurants, hotels and event spaces in the area. I’m a big believer that a strong management company, along with a top notch chef, are the recipe for success for any superb restaurant. Chef Derek Salkin, formerly of the French Laundry and Per Se, serves up a variety of decadent dishes. Based on my research, his signature dish is the poulet roti. Sadly, Bob and I didn’t have a chance to try it, but it’s on the top of our list for our next trip to Austin.
THE DRESS
This blue floral dress is designed by one of my favorite brands, Hutch. I’ve worn the collection numerous times, including this color block dress and this high low floral dress. In short, they create the best and most Instagrammable dresses. Truly!
Beyond the pretty print of today’s style, I love the luxe fabrics they incorporate throughout their entire collection. The price point of their pieces are also very reasonable.
