Hi friends! Thought I’d pop in and share some updates as we close out August (*cues Taylor Swift*). Work for my full-time job is busy as ever, including several business trips scheduled throughout fall. Our longstanding valued client partners continue to amaze me. Plus, we have quite a few exciting (and phenomenal, I might add) new brands joining the agency.
Plus, our overall team is expanding rapidly. Each new employee addition breathes life into the firm; I’m thankful to work with such talented colleagues. Moreover, I’ve been most struck by finally striking a solid balance in our current hybrid work environment. How is it for your job? Are you fully back 100% (Bob has been since late spring of ’21) or are you in a hybrid/remote setup?
Last week, we got together with a group of friends and had dinner at PERILLA – a divine Korean restaurant in River West. Since there were eight of us, we were able to have a few tasting plates, salads, and appetizers. Everything was incredible – especially the seasonal vegetable salad, kimchi pancakes, Korean fried chicken, and the corn cheese. Even though the meat was grilled at the table, the smell didn’t linger on our clothing. We adore Cho Sun Ok in Lincoln Square (a Korean BBQ staple for 40+ years), but you definitely need to wash your outfit immediately after leaving. The food’s worth it, but I was thrilled PERILLA didn’t do that to my apparel. 🙂
Over the weekend, we also spent some time at our lake house. While our renovation plans have been moving at a glacial pace (you know how that thrills me), it’s still such a relaxing experience when we’re there. Even just sitting and watching the water, the birds and ducks enjoy the feeders, and the bees work through every budding plant is the best stress-reducer.
While I hate to admit it, work has been so crazy. As such, I haven’t been able to spend a lot of time at the lake house. Therefore, spending a couple hours this past weekend was good for my soul. Frankly, my main priority is to figure out how to visit more often!
Mille Hanna Top
Today’s post includes this darling Mille Hanna. The Minneapolis-based brand has such beautiful, feminine pieces complete with ruffles, florals, and more. I have a dress with this same print (in this post), and a stripe tiered dress, too. Definitely take a peek at their other styles! I paired it with a classic monogram flat pouch from Mark & Graham and white denim. Also, I added these Manolo Blahnik cobalt sandals—a great find from The RealReal.
