Happy weekend! After a few days in Wisconsin with family, we made it back to Chicago yesterday afternoon. Since we’ve stayed home this winter break, we’ve been on a major house cleaning kick, and it’s been so cathartic. Given the freezing temps, it feels good to get things in order. Not to mention, it’s always great to get the new year off to a fresh start!
Speaking of winter, I cannot tell you how thankful I am for the conservatories and greenhouses in and around Chicago. Each year, when the weather gets brutal, we hightail it to the Lincoln Park Conservatory, the Garfield Park Conservatory, or the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum to enjoy the exhibits and the warm humid environments. Plus, these locales are the perfect excuse to break out some new resort wear looks. This MDS Stripes rainbow check shirtdress has been on my radar since first spotting it in the brand’s lookbook a few months back. As always, the quality is impeccable, and I’m obsessed with the cheerful colors. Both the dress and shorts fit true to size, and they are so easy to mix and match with other pieces!
