Last week, I had the opportunity to visit Le Logis, the 17th century manor, owned by Grey Goose, located in the Charente region of France. To say it was an exceptional experience would be the understatement of the year!
Roughly 90 minutes by car from the Bordeaux airport, Le Logis is a restored château that boasts 14 gorgeously-appointed bedrooms and stunning shared spaces (think kitchen, living rooms, etc.). Magnifique! Upon arrival, you’re instantly transported to another world.
From boulangerie bread making to Le Grand Fizz Cocktail master classes, tours of the Le Logis property itself to lessons from Maître D’ Chai François Thibault, I found myself understanding why it really is the world’s best tasting vodka.
A few facts that surprised me about the brand:
- The main point of difference between Grey Goose and other vodkas is their production process. They don’t spare a single expense when it comes to sourcing the best ingredients – like the grain harvested from a region up north known as the French Bread Basket. The wheat used in the creation of Grey Goose vodka is grown in Picardy, France and categorized as “superior bread-making wheat.” Trust me, no other brand can claim that!
- The company was founded in 1996; it’s hard to believe the brand is 20 years young! Technically, they’re not even old enough to drink, lol 😉
- They sell more Grey Goose L’Orange bottles than any of the company’s other flavored vodkas combined. Who knew? Orange you glad you know that now? My other two favorites were the La Poire and also Le Melon (although, it was nearly impossible to choose).
Huge thanks to Grey Goose for the exceptional hospitality! I’ve been a longtime fan, but after this experience, they’ve won me over for life.
Here is my favorite cocktail recipe from the trip – try it for yourself!
Grey Goose Le Grand Fizz Recipe (with Le Melon!)
1 bottle of 375ML Grey Goose Le Melon Vodka
1 bottle of 200ML St-Germain Liqueur

1 bottle of Soda Water
Directions
Measure and pour Grey Goose Vodka and St-Germain into a wine glass.
Squeeze 3 wedges of lime into glass, and insert lime wedges into glass.
