Happy Sunday! I hope you’ve been having a nice weekend. I was able to babysit my niece on Saturday after flying back home from New York City on Friday night. Although I would have loved to have spent the weekend in the Big Apple, it was wonderful to land in Chicago after being gone for the work week. On today’s post, I’m excited to share a colorful NYFW recap (thanks especially to this J Crew Collection skirt). It was a quick 24 hours of events and presentations, and my absolute favorite part was meeting up with friends!
J. Crew Collection Skirt
On Thursday night, Shopbop hosted a party in Nolita to celebrate their new site. Have you seen it yet? Loving the new look and features! For the party, I wore a Missoni dress from their Spring 2008 collection and was pleasantly surpised that it matched the décor of the party! The next morning, I wore my favorite J. Crew Collection skirt and stripe top. I was thrilled to partner with Mark Cross and made use of their iconic Benchley bag – it was the perfect pop of color! When attending big fashion events, I usually pull from my closet instead of buying something new. I like that it feels a bit more personal, and (best of all) it’s much less likely that someone will be wearing the same outfit – lol!
Club Monaco Spring 2018 Presentation
Friday morning started off early, as Allie and I got together to take photos before heading downtown for the Club Monaco presentation. It took place way up on the 71st floor of 4 World Trade Center. Needless to say, the views were jaw-dropping. I felt the same about the clothes, of course! Club Monaco has shifted to the “see now, buy now” model, and I’ve already begun shopping. See some of my favorites below:
Milly Spring 2018 Presentation
The day ended with the Milly presentation in Soho. Not only was it great to catch up with my friend Christie, but the color palette that Michelle Smith chose for spring seriously gave me life. The downtown loft space was divided into various sections, each one more cheerful and bold than the previous! Needless to say, you can plan on seeing plenty of Milly on the blog in the first part of 2018 (if not, sooner)!
Since I was heading to the airport after the Milly presentation, I changed into something that would be a bit more comfortable for the plane – lol! Outfit details in this post.
