Today, I’m thrilled to share a preview of the H&M Home Diane von Furstenberg collection. Friends, the line is FABULOUS. DVF brings her maximalist prints and vibes to the entire interiors-focused assortment. Think tabletop, home decor and textiles. Furthermore, the capsule collection is wallet-friendly (i.e. it won’t cost you a fortune for a single vase). Praise be!
Interestingly enough, this partnership isn’t DVF’s first foray into home and interiors. From my research, she signed a pretty unprecedented licensing deal with Sears. Yep, you read that right – Sears. Following the success of her iconic wrap dress (more on that later), DVF launch the “Diane von Furstenberg Style for Living Collection” in 1978. Ultimately, the licensing deal impacted her entire business, and it took decades for her to rebuild.
Furthermore, in 2011, she re-launched a home business featuring décor, tabletop pieces and other home items. That particular collection was sold a Bloomingdale’s and Bed, Bath & Beyond. Ultimately, the collection didn’t sell well and the home line was stopped.
Now, H&M gives Diane von Furstenberg another lease on “home life,” if you will. I truly hope the capsule collection launch goes well for her!
H&M Home Diane von Furstenberg Collection
The 31-piece collection includes cozy and comfortable pieces like wool double-sided blankets and a plush robe with her famous Diane print. Additionally, there are smaller décor items that pack a colorful punch, such as orange rounded vases, decorative printed boxes, lacquer-like trays and scented candles.
It’s no secret that I’m a huge fan of home fragrance, and the candles are housed in posh solid and printed glasses that you can arrange around your home. Struggling to pick a scent? I’d recommend sticking to Von Furstenberg’s favorite scent – amber. Although there are also smaller candles of cedarwood, sandalwood, or pine. Lastly, DVF is elevating home entertaining with a range of espresso cups and saucers.
Some of the prints, include zebra, leopard, kissable lip pattern and Diane’s abstract signature lettering. So fun, right?
About Diane von Furstenberg
Are you familiar with Diane von Furstenberg? If not, I wanted to share some details on her background. After all, the Belgian designer has become a huge inspiration of mine, and she’s built such an incredible business.
Part entrepreneur, part iconoclast, iconic fashionista, Diane von Furstenberg sets the standard when it comes to American fashion. For more than 45 years, she made history with the debut of her iconic wrap dress.
Additionally, I’ve been thankful to wear several pieces from her ready-to-wear collection over the years, like her signature wrap dresses. In fact, this colorful striped wrap dress and gorgeous blue gingham style are some of my favorite pieces in my closet. Also, I’m thankful to have had the chance to partner with DVF for gifting. I hope to work with them more in the years to come!

How Many Items are in the DVF Home Collection?
As discussed, the H&M Home Diane von Furstenberg collection is a 31-piece collection. Furthermore, it includes a curated mix of interiors and decorative items, such as: candles, trays, wool blankets, posters, cushion covers, pots, vases, espresso cups, boxes, small plates, and even that plush robe. Sign me up, Diane. Also, be sure to check out the Size Guide to pick the correct size if you’e planning to purchase the robe.
In the official announcement, DVF urges fans to “own it” when it comes to their interior style. She’s the best! Overall, fans will find marks of DVF’s signature bold prints, like zebra and leopard print. Furthermore, there’s a kissable lip pattern and abstract signature lettering.
“The prints in the H&M HOME collaboration are very iconic. The ‘Diane’ print I created 20 years ago when I started the company, while the lips print comes from the painting Andy Warhol did of me. Personally, I love animal prints – zebra is very DVF – and also vibrant orange and pinks, but monochrome black and white is very chic, too. The whole collection is fabulous, and I can’t wait to share it with everyone.”

Lastly, I love the entire campaign was photographed in von Furstenberg’s vibrant home in New York City. Additionally, the shoot was styled by the designer herself. So good! As a reminder, the Diane von Furstenberg x H&M Home collection will be available in selected stores and online at hm.com from Friday, April 16.
