Happy September, friends! It’s a shock to the system that we’re entering the ninth month of 2020, but I’m feeling hopeful for a more positive finish to the year. We could all use it, right?! Although fall is just around the corner, the temps in Chicago remain solidly in the 80s, so I’m taking advantage of as many summer outfits as possible. Case in point: this kate spade gingham bow front dress. The lightweight linen blend is easy to wear all day, and I’m already planning out how to transition the look into fall.
This week ahead looks much like most previous ones: working from home for my full-time job, managing blog and home projects during the evening and weekend hours, and keeping tabs on friends and family. Our niece started kindergarten yesterday, and the photos my brother texted had me grinning from ear to ear! My brother and sister-in-law had the family create videos wishing my niece a happy first day of school. They played all the clips for her before her (remote) school day, and it was wonderful to know she got to see and hear from us before such a big day!
