Happy Monday! I am beyond excited to be home this week and return to a somewhat normal routine. This past weekend in Chicago was, in a word, perfect. On Friday, we out for dinner and a movie and saw Oceans 8. Loved the cast, enjoyed the story line, but, overall, it missed the mark for me – oh well!
On Saturday, we worked on things around the house. Then, we went out to lunch, and later met friends in Old Town for drinks and dinner on their rooftop. They have the perfect view of the skyline, and the weather couldn’t have been better! Sunday morning included a brunch event hosted by Chase Sapphire at The Hampton Social (one of my favorite Chicago spots). There, we were able to chat and catch up with John, Maura, Dan, and Katrina. We had a blast, and the food was amazing as always. Afterwards, we took a few photos for the blog, including this gorgeous Gal Meets Glam Collection Gemma Dress.
Gal Meets Glam Collection
As I shared in April, I am a huge fan of Gal Meets Glam Collection. Julia, Thomas, and their team have done an incredible job of launching this line of dresses. They work for so many occasions, especially for the office and everyday life. When they reached out to partner again (this time for the June collection), I was beyond thrilled. After scanning their lookbook, the Gal Meets Glam Collection Gemma dress was the first to grab my attention.
Best of all, it’s so lovely in person. The fabric is incredible soft and wrinkle-resistant. Plus, the short sleeves make it easy to wear to the office, even on a cool day. Moreover, I love the 1940’s-inspired cut of the dress. I found it to be fairly true to size. However, if you’re kind of in-between, I recommend sizing up rather than down. Plus, I’m loving this red and white floral dress, this bateau-neck option, this jacquard fit and flare dress, and this pink floral sundress. See the full collection here and here!
