When Julia Engel sends an email, you respond. Immediately. I was beyond honored when she and Thomas reached out to me about a month ago to send me one of the dresses from the debut of Gal Meets Glam Collection. My immediate excitement was tempered by the seemingly impossible task of trying to select one of the stunning styles from their April 2018 selection. They sent me the full lookbook of dresses, which is positively perfect in every way: the fit & flare silhouettes, the bow details, the pastel hues. Everything is flawless. As if we would expect anything less from her, Thomas, and the GMG team, right? After much consideration, I chose this Gal Meets Glam Collection blue bow back dress (aka, the Samantha). As they launch the line today, I thought it would be helpful to share a quick guide to the Gal Meets Glam Collection.

Everything. I mean everything. I am 100% positive the collection will sell out (maybe even on the first day – so shop quickly here and here). Since none of us have bottomless bank accounts, I thought it would be helpful to narrow down this expansive collection to my top ten styles.
#1: Gal Meets Glam Collection in Samantha Dress in Blue/White ($158)
I chose the Samantha Dress in blue/white, which I think will be the first style the sellout. The back bow detail and double straps are exceptional! The style also comes in pink. Shop this Gal Meets Glam Collection blue bow back dress here and here.
#2: Gal Meets Glam Collection Hillary Dress in Lilac Bud ($168):
This was my second choice for a dress. Lilac is one of the hottest hues of the season, and I think this is the perfect dress for spring/summer weddings and special occasions. Shop the Hillary style here and here.
#3: Gal Meets Glam Collection Hayley Dress in Lilac ($168)
Speaking of lilac, the Haley Dress is a wonderful and versatile style for all shoppers. I love this long-sleeve option in the lightweight fabric. It’s the ideal day to night option (not to mention great for work). Shop the Hayley Dress here and here.
#4: Gal Meets Glam Evelyn Dress in Blush Combo ($188)
THIS SILHOUETTE. I seriously adore this style SO much. It was my third option for a selection, and I am definitely planning to buy it! Shop the Evelyn Dress here and here.
#5: Gal Meets Glam Yvonne Dress in Rose Quartz and Navy ($158)
Calling all brides-to-be and bridesmaids! The Yvonne Dress is the PERFECT bridesmaid dress option. If I was getting married again, I would email my bridal party ASAP and ask them to shop this style! #6: Gal Meets Glam Lillian Dress in Blush/Denim ($198)
While Julia hasn’t said this, I truly believe the Lillian Dress embodies the essence of the Gal Meets Glam collection. Lillian should be her signature dress for the line! The vintage silhouette is BEYOND. Shop the Lillian Dress here.
#7: Gal Meets Glam Collection Courtney Dress in Blue/White ($168)
This style reminds me a lot of the Samantha Dress, but slightly different with the pretty tiered layers on the bottom. Shop the Courtney Dress here and here.

Umm, how pretty is this floral wrap dress? The feminine print is giving me LIFE. Plus, I’m all about a great vintage-inspired fit & flare style. Shop the Anne Dress here and here.

THE SIZING
I found the collection to be true to size. If between sizes, I recommend sizing up one size (especially for more of the form fitting styles)
WHAT WAS THE APRIL 2018 GAL MEETS GLAM COLLECTION INSPIRED BY?
According to Julia’s lookbook, the seasonal line is inspired by vintage silhouettes, feminine prints, and modern touches. Pastels are omnipresent in the pieces – from lilac to blush, crisp whites to beautiful blues.
