How to Wear a Dress with Sneakers

One of my favorite trends of the past year has been pairing a dress with sneakers. Don’t get me wrong, I love a high heel, but it’s nice to change it up now and again. The best part is that it’s an easy look to pull off! My main advice is to make sure that your sneaker has a clean, minimal look. These Adidas Stan Smith sneakers have been a been a longtime favorite. Also, these Loeffler Randall espadrille sneakers have definitely been on repeat! When putting this look together, I originally planned on wearing an ankle wrap sandal. Thankfully, my Adidas were sitting next to the mirror when I was trying on the dress, so I made the switch!

Another aspect to consider when wearing a dress with sneakers is that the overall look should be fairly casual. I tend to look for uncomplicated shift or A-line dresses when trying this combination. It goes without saying, but a sequined ball gown and Nikes might look a little “off.” LOL! Lastly, a quick tip on these Adidas sneakers – they run really large. Due to the unisex sizing, I suggest paying close attention the sizing chart. For my tiny feet, I had divert into the kids section, because the smallest women’s size was still too big!
