Even though we’re still in the process of renovating the lake home, entertaining has been top of mind. Specifically, I’ve been searching for coastal tablescape ideas for year round gatherings.
Growing up, my mom, grandmother, and Aunties were the ultimate hostesses. All of them were experts at throwing big dinner parties, major holiday events, and my mom’s iconic and world-class Fourth of July party that people still talk about to this day. In some ways, I’ve always felt in the shadow of the incredible women in my life.
But once we purchased our first home in Chicago, things started to shift. The past few years, I’ve loved embracing all things home entertaining and building a tabletop collection to last.
I found my groove and genuine interest in hosting. Sure, some gatherings are small and super chill. But others have grown into larger dinner parties and fun themed cocktail parties.
There’s nothing better than sharing a special meal with a glass of wine and plenty of laugher. 🙂
Coastal Tablescape Ideas
With our increase in home entertaining, I’ve developed a strong appreciation for beautiful dinnerware and tabletop pieces. That love has grown immensely. Bob even jokes we need more space now for plates and glassware than we do my dresses. That should tell you something, haha! 🙂
Tabletop pieces are my kryptonite – I love ALL of it. Thankfully, Bob’s helped me scale back and focus on investing in pieces that we truly love and want for decades to come.
Part of them rests in seeking out quality, durable, and beautiful pieces. Nothing overly trendy, of course.
Thankfully, Mark & Graham’s tabletop collection was the perfect solution for us as we build out our tabletop pieces at the vacation home. Mark & Graham has been my go-to brand for years for personalized lifestyle, home, and fashion items for as long as I can remember. But after seeing their new collection, I knew we needed these stunning tabletop and home décor pieces.
From the navy and white color combinations to the raffia details, every single item feels perfectly aligned with our interior design style. Think part Nancy Meyers and a dose of coastal.
Specifically, I love all of these personalized tabletop linens – especially the gorgeous bow napkin rings. The velvet fabric is super luxe and they can be customized with a monogram.
Another favorite? These beautiful Blue Scalloped placemats (also available in a red and blue striped design). Very versatile and works with simple white plates and beyond. We layered the look with these whimsical White Bow Napkins and gorgeous Raffia Highball Glassware.
