Today, I’m excited to share four Cinq à Sept outfits for spring that’ll take you from desk to drinks and weekend date nights. Furthermore, we’ll dive into the background of the brand and why they’re the perfect pieces to purchase at Saks.
To be transparent, Cinq à Sept is a new-to-me brand. One thing is clear – the womenswear collection understands fits, fabrics, and unique silhouettes that transform your wardrobe. They have a singular vision, and their pieces don’t aesthetically look like anything else on the market.
It’s easy to see why Saks decided to pick-up the line and curate pieces from the collection. I truly believe they have the best selection on the market, making it a one-stop shop for special occasions, work, and weekend outfits.
Cinq à Sept at Saks
Cinq à Sept has so many classic wardrobe staples with a twist, and I’m delighted to share more background on this womenswear contemporary collection. Everything is inspired by the hours between 5 and 7 p.m. Cinq à Sept embodies a feminine sophistication and effortless modern silhouettes. Moreover, I love the collection is offered in sizes 0-16, and inventory is readily available across the SKUs.
What Does Cinq à Sept Mean?
Have you ever wondered what Cinq à Sept actually stands for? Based on research, it’s a French term for the activities that take place after work and before returning home. Basically, what happens between 5 and 7 PM. As someone who works in a full-time, 9 to 5 job in PR, I can attest to the fact that 5-7 PM is one of the most critical times of the day.
Sometimes you’re working out, grabbing drinks with friends, working on your laptop, prepping for the latest episode of The Bachelor... but I digress, lol.
Who is the Designer?
The collection is designed by Jane Siskin, who founded the brand in 2016. Siskin has extensive experience in the retail industry, where her brand, Jaya Apparel Group, helped launch other lines like 7 for All Mankind and Elizabeth and James. You can learn more about her background and must-have pieces in this podcast.
Furthermore, I love her quote, “Every moment should be an occasion.” It’s clear to see she lives and breathes this ethos in the gorgeous and effortless designs within the collection.
Outfit #1: Pink Dress
Wow, I LOVE this gorgeous pink twist-front mini dress (which is also available in light indigo for a serene blue look). Plus, the price point is quite reasonable based on the quality at $365. This style fits true to size (I’m wearing a size 4),
This fabric is also quite sturdy and features a twill cotton blend. It almost feels like denim in a way, but rest assured it has decent stretch so it’s not too fitted. Plus, the knotted twist-front design in front is incredibly flattering.
I plan to style this both with heels and sneakers, along with bold statement earrings. It’ll pair perfectly with gold and silver jewelry, and even turquoise or pops of yellow.
Outfit #2: Cinq à Sept Striped Dress
They had me at stripes! Friends, this striped dress is amazing. I love the asymmetric neckline, long sleeves, midi length, and coordinating belt. Plus, the Marcella Belted Stripe Shirtdress was just put on sale too, so be sure to scoop it up at this price point!
Outfit #3: Casual Workwear Look
As they say, best believed I’m still bejeweled when I walk in the room. 🙂 This embellished t-shirt is the ultimate statement-making style for work to weekend. It’s one of those compliment-inducing pieces. Trust! Just yesterday, they also released a black sweatshirt version that is so chic.
Plus, I paired it with this pair of denim, which may be my favorite piece of the bunch. No joke. After all, I own a bunch of white denim, but nothing that looks (or feels) like this pair.
Lastly, I chose this gorgeous green blazer, which fits like live a glove! This fits true to size, and I adore the fabric and color. Perfect for spring!
Outfit #4: Sleek and Sophisticated Outfit
The moment I tried on this outfit, Bob was like “WOW. You look like a boss.” Lol. He was right, and I felt like a true C-Suite executive in this look. At the same time, the Katie Drop-Shoulder Denim Jacket features a modern silhouette with the one strap asymmetrical shoulder detail.
It gives off that, “I’m not a regular boss, I’m a cool boss” kind of vibe. 🙂 I’m here for it.
Designed out of stretch denim, I love the option to belt the waist. Plus, the strap is adjustable and easy to fit to your body. I’m wearing a size 4 here, but probably could have sized down to a 2. Again, this is a very stretchy denim and not scratchy whatsoever. Super soft and comfortable!
Once again, I’m also incredibly impressed with Cinq à Sept’s denim offerings. Their dresses, blazers, and tops are incredible, but I sincerely believe their jeans really shine and are worth the investment. I especially love the Benji Twill Cotton-Blend Cuffed Flare Pants in white (under $300). In fact, prepare to see me wearing these from spring into summer.
