It’s here! The Target x Christopher John Rogers collection is finally available to shop. I was thrilled to get my hands on a few favorites, and I’m beyond impressed with the quality. For me, the pieces all fit true to size (at least the ones in this post). Moreover, I appreciate how most are made from cotton. So easy breezy for summer!
The Christopher John Rogers Target Collection
One aspect that really caught my attention is the construction. From statement sleeves to sewn-in netting to give additional shape, they truly went the extra mile! Needless to say, Target has the ability to purchase an insane amount of volume from manufacturers to keep costs low. Regardless, I genuinely feel that CJR came to the design table with a wishlist. “This element is a must have, that draping is essential, etc.,” and Target went for it! Good on them!
If you aren’t already familiar, the designer was named 2019 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund winner. Additionally, he’s the 2020 CFDA American Emerging Designer of the Year. Best of all, he embraces color, unique shapes, and prints! I’ve admired his designs for a few seasons. So, to be able to purchase the CJR design aesthetic at an affordable price is a total game changer. You can find his main line available at NET-A-PORTER, Hampden Clothing, and McMullen, to name a few!
