A few weeks ago, I shared our holiday home décor plans in partnership with our favorite brand, Frontgate. Today, I’m excited to reveal our Christmas living room decor! 2020 has been a complex and emotional year. Therefore, we wanted to dream up (and set-up) our holiday decorations early. Spark some joy, you know?
Our Living Room Space
By all accounts, our living room is relatively small since it shares the same space as our dining room. Additionally, we don’t have a functioning fireplace for Santa to scale down the chimney with care. For families, couples, and individuals who are in the same boat, I wanted to share some tips for creating Christmas living room decor ideas – especially if you don’t have a fireplace!
As always, the team at Frontgate really went above and beyond. I’m still pinching myself with how the space turned out! All in all, I hope some of these ideas and photos spark ideas and inspiration for your own home too!
Christmas Living Room Decor
When we bought our home, I was slightly sad it didn’t come with a fireplace. Growing up, our home had a fireplace in the family room that was put to good use. I loved cozy nights at home watching Christmas movies with a crackling fire warming up the space.
While we don’t have one, we’ve found a creative alternative that looks like one (and without the maintenance) – a mantel! God bless faux mantels! We found our vintage mantel through House of Hipsters, and I love how the antique incorporates texture into the space. Best of all, the mantel “centers” and grounds in the room. Love that!
To add the perfect holiday touches, we selected this stunning Royal Blush Garland. I love the blush and green hues, and lifelike foliage, ballet-pink delphinium, peonies and succulents. Furthermore, I love the feather and iridescent glass accents, blush glass ornaments, and LED white lights.
We also added this phenomenal Fireplace Screen, which adds a touch of holiday glam near our mantel. It was extremely easy to assemble (I did it myself), and the mirrored glass casts light around the room.
Moreover, we added this gorgeous gold deer statue for an extra dose of holiday/winter. I love how small details really add more personality and seasonality to a space.
Our Christmas Tree
Christmas puts me in the best mood, and it’s a holiday we very much cherish with friends and family. Since I was little, I wanted a colorful Christmas tree. Growing up, our tree was full of personal ornaments that we’d accumulated over the years.
After measuring the ceilings in our home, we opted for the Freshly Fallen Snowcrest Slim Profile Tree. Wow, it’s stunning in-person! First off, it looks incredibly real. Not to mention, the fraser fir foliage adorned with a fresh dusting of snow creates a warm, inviting space. As I mentioned in my Christmas collar and skirt post, we opted for this beautiful Christmas tree collar.
In terms of ornaments, we used a mix of the Royal Blush 40-piece collection, Feather Iridescent Accent Ornaments, and these beautiful Icicle Ornaments. Plus, all of sets come perfectly packaged so that none of the glass pieces break.
In Closing
I hope this post puts you in the holiday spirit! It was so fun to put the space together, and I can’t wait to share more of our holiday decor soon!
