One of my all-time favorite things in life is traveling. I love exploring the corners of the world and learning about new cultures and cuisines. Whether it’s a city escape for work or a beach getaway, I love checking out new hotels, resorts, airlines and destinations. Top 5 Travel Tips
Select a single airline to fly – especially if you travel a lot! Don’t worry when their flights are more expensive – the points and perks you accumulate over time will be worth it. I recommend whichever airline that flies the most frequently, and has the most routes, from your home airport.
Apply for Global Entry and/or TSA PreCheck. If you travel internationally, Global Entry is your best bet (TSA PreCheck comes with it if you’re approved). These programs save you time, stress, and energy!
Similar to airlines, try to remain loyal to a single hotel group. Trust me, you won’t regret it! Pick a group that has a lot of options (e.g. Marriott, Hilton, Fairmont, Kimpton, etc.).
Upon arriving in any new destination, find the closest grocery store or pharmacy to pick up water, snacks and other drinks. It’ll save you a lot of money (and stop you from reaching for the $8 bottle of water in your room).
Invest in portable chargers and also a solid international adapter/converter. I highly recommend this one.
