Hi, friends! Today, I’m sharing a round-up of the best summer shoe trends for 2021. Think square toe heels, white sneakers, and even Mach & Mach to Birkenstocks. This summer, brands are making it easier than ever to be well-heeled for the season. Plus, you don’t need to spend a fortune to enjoy the trend. Summer is one of my favorite seasons. Bring on the dresses, shorts, wicker bags, and beyond. In the past, when it comes to accessories, summer shoes haven’t been a focus for me. In fact, my summer shoe collection is probably the smallest. After all, I tend to stick to the same styles – flip flops, sneakers, a classic heel, and a sandal here and there.

Thankfully, brands and designers have taken things up a notch in 2021. Everywhere I turn, I’m seeing new, innovate styles that capture my attention. Best Summer Shoe Trend #1: Square Toe Shoes

Frankly, the #1 summer shoe trend you need to konw? Square toe shoes. You’ll find them everywhere. One minute you’ll find a kitten heeled style followed by a braided flat sandal. Other days, strappy block heel wedges and even high heels. I LOVE this trend! My top pick of a style to start with? This neutral braided heel. Classic yet chic.

Best Summer Shoe Trend #2: White Sneakers

Sure, white sneakers have been around forever. In fact, I still have this pair, and they’re one of my most comfortable pairs of shoes. They’ll always be classic and cool. Thankfully, brands have so many great options for the season. Start with Veja, Adidas or Sézane. You won’t regret it (and neither will your bank account)!

Oh, mules – how I love thee. Yes, yes – mules have been around for several seasons. However, companies are doing a great job of releasing more interesting patterns, prints, fabrics, etc. Out of all of the trends I’m featuring today, this is the one that I think is fully worth the investment. Mules aren’t going anywhere anytime soon.

From statement wedges to studded flat sandals, 2021 is bringing the heat with all things statement sandals. In fact, I dare you to find a blogger who doesn’t own this style. Well, I don’t yet, but I’m sure that I’ll buy one soon. What statement sandals are you loving right now?

Shoe Trend #5: Crystal Embellished Heels

Don’t underestimate the power of a sparkly heel. Furthermore, there’s one particular style of heel that’s taken over the market – a crystal heel. While this designer pair and this option both set the standard of the trend, many websites are offering more attainable price points (like this version).

Trend #6: 90’s Inspired Sandals

The 90’s are back in a big way. As someone who great up in the 90’s, I’m very familiar with the resurgence of the shoe trends – especially this brand. Funny enough, my mom warned me to keep my Birkenstocks since they’d probably come back one day. Sadly, I threw them out (and now they’re “trendy”). Sigh. Moms are always right. 🙂 Fortunately, every single brand under the sun seems to be selling some version of them. Transparently, I wasn’t planing on purchasing new ones, but I’ve been tempted by all the new colors! We’ll see!
