Can you believe summer is coming to an end? In anticipation of autumn, I’m thrilled to be sharing three Ann Taylor fall outfits with you. Their new arrivals are truly amazing. Plus, some of my fave summer styles from my previous Ann Taylor post are now on sale, like this jacket and this skirt.
From plums to pinks, tans to rusts, the brand is elevating all things autumn to bring styles that work for both casual and more dressy occasions. It’s the perfect time to stock up on staples for workwear options and weekend finds.
Ann Taylor Fall Outfits
If you’re like me, the transition from warm weather to cooler temps is always a big adjustments. Plus, people always talk about spring cleaning but what about the actual shift of a closet to fall? From packing luggage to folding items in my closet, I always find fall outfits to feature more
Midi Skirts
Love being “caught in the midi.” Midi skirts are the perfect (and appropriate) length for so many activities – flights, meetings, and everything in between. They are my absolute favorite length for both skirts and dresses. I never regret wearing them, and I’m always grateful walking in and around the city that I won’t have a Marilyn Monroe moment. This pink and burgundy plaid pleated skirt is a great transitional option!
Basically, midi skirts hit right above or below the knee. As such, you can show off your shoes and wear a slip underneath in case the fabric is a bit clingy or stat-icy.
Marvelous Maroon
Did you know that maroon is widely considered a color which evokes warmth, relaxation, and creativity? It makes the perfect hue for the office and pairs perfectly with browns, tans, navys, and pinks. To me, maroon reminds me of the autumn season: I imagine crisp leaves, morning coffee, and glass of red with dinner by a fire. Plus, there are so many ways Ann Taylor is bringing this color to the forefront including blouses, belts, even in their suede pumps!
Colorful Sweaters
Last but not least, please do not sleep on Ann Taylor’s colorful sweaters. I especially love this boyfriend cardigan that’s also sold in navy. The price is amazing, and it’s the perfect layering piece. As always, sweaters make for the perfect hero piece and layer in a fall wardrobe. Instead of a mundane tan or grey option, why not try a bold pink? Even Valentino made an entire collection around this vibrant tone of fuchsia pink!
