On Tuesday morning, our alarm “gently” woke us up with the loudest “brrrrnnggg” you could possibly imagine. Groggy, I sprung out of my slumber like a kid in a candy store. After all, it was the first day to shop the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale – sign me up! After throwing on an outfit, I grabbed our ferry tickets and we made our way to the Nantucket wharf.
From there, the day felt like a complete blur. I had stayed up late the night before finalizing my Nordstrom Anniversary Sale preview post. Thankfully, Bob grabbed coffees nearby at Provisions – a necessity to help us power through the day. Why did we get up so early you ask? Well, Tuesday was the first day Nordy Club Icon members could shop the sale: but only in-store. The online sale for Icon and Ambassador members starts today (07/11) at 12:30 PM ET. Given that we are on Nantucket this week, we decided to head to Boston for the preview.
While it might seem a little crazy to have done so, we thought of it as a mini-adventure! Since we always fly here from Chicago, we’ve wanted to try the Nantucket-Hyannis ferry ride for the longest time. In short, we LOVED it! The hour-long Hy-Line boat was much nicer than I expected! Plus, it had a snack and beverage bar inside (hello cup #2 of coffee)! I highly recommend upgrading to the “Captain’s View” seats, if possible.
After de-boarding in Hyannis (such a cute town), we picked up a rental car and drove to the Boston suburbs. There, we shopped at Nordstrom Natick Mall. My best friend Megan lives in Charlestown says it’s the best mall in the area (as always, Megs was right). Upon arrival, we checked-in with a sales associate, and I was ready to go!
2019 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Early Access Outfits
From the start, I wanted to hone-in on pieces I’ll wear both now and into fall. As you’ll see, I didn’t buy 10,000 outfits. I kept it to the VERY best items that I think will sell out QUICKLY. Plus, I kept my accessories to a minimum to show how versatile they can be. For example, I chose one bag, one bootie, one pair of flats, and one set of classic earrings. Also, this best-selling camisole is a must-have staple for styling a cardigan or blazer!
